AVP– Purchase (Procurement & Supply Chain)

Qualification: Bachelor in Engineering / Supply Chain / Finance / MBA or Professional Certifications

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & CAPEX Management
Define and implement the strategic direction for CAPEX procurement in alignment with organizational objectives.

Evaluate prioritize CAPEX proposals from business units based on ROI, feasibility, business needs.

Ensure efficient procurement of plant machinery, equipment, infrastructure, and automation systems.

Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Vendor & Supplier Management
Budget Handling: ₹1,000+ Crores (CAPEX focus)

All CAPEX procurement activities comply with company policies and legal/regulatory standards.

Drive transparency, traceability, and accountability in all procurement transactions.

Implement robust governance frameworks and procurement policies.

Risk Management & Process Improvement
Identify and mitigate supply chain, financial, and project-related risks.

Reporting & Analytics
Present periodic reports on procurement KPIs, vendor performance, cost savings, and project milestones to senior leadership.

Conduct spend analysis, market benchmarking, and procurement diagnostics to inform future decisions.

Experience 20+ years exp in procurement with 8–10 years in CAPEX sourcing.

Proven expertise in managing a procurement budget of ₹1,000+ Cr.

Knowledge in Steel, Rubber, Plastic component industries.

Exp in multi-location or corporate-level procurement roles.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Strategic thinking with an ability to align sourcing with long-term business goals.

Financial acumen in budgeting, cost analysis, ROI evaluation.

Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management capabilities.

Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms).

Risk management change leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
