Safety Engineer - Steel Plant

Experience : 5 -15 Years

Qualification : B. Tech in Mechanical/Electrical+Industrial Safety course.

Key Responsibilities : Assist in the development and execution of HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with the plants operational goals.

Conduct daily safety inspections and risk assessments of work areas, machinery, and processes.

Monitor adherence to safety guidelines and provide feedback to improve safety performance.

Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports to identify root causes.

Participate in the planning and execution of safety drills, including emergency evacuation and fire response simulations.

Coordinate safety training programs for workers, including new employee orientations and periodic refreshers.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental laws.

Work closely with the operations team to implement control measures to minimize environmental impact.

Maintain records related to safety audits, inspections, training, and incident reports.

Contribute to continuous improvement in safety performance through the analysis of incident trends and development of preventive measures.
