Job Summary: The Cement Plant Head is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the cement plant. 
 

This role involves leading and managing all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and environmental compliance. 
 

The Plant Head will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal resource utilization, and achieving operational excellence. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Operational Mgmt: 
 

Oversee daily operations of the cement plant, ensuring production targets are met within budgeted costs. 
 

Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. 
 

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary. 

 

Leadership & Team Management: 
 

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of department heads and plant staff to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce. 
 

Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 

 

Production & Quality Control: 
 

Ensure consistent production of high-quality cement in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. 
 

Work closely with the quality control team to maintain and improve product quality. 

 

Maintenance & Reliability: 
 

Oversee the maint of plant equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability. 
 

Develop and implement preventive maint programs to enhance plant longevity and performance. 
 

 

Safety & Environmental Compliance: 
 

Ensure full compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards. Promote a safe working environment and lead initiatives to reduce workplace accidents and incidents. 

 

Financial & Budget Mgmt: 
 

Develop and manage the plant’s operating budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation. 
 

Monitor financial performance and take actions to meet or exceed budgeted goals. 

 

Continuous Improvement: 
 

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance, reduce costs, and improve processes. 
 

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to maintain competitive advantage. 

 

Stakeholder Mgmt: 
 

Liaise with corporate mgmt, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth plant operations. 
 

Represent the plant in internal and external meetings, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 
 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engg, Chemical Engg, or related field. 
 

A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus. 
 

Exp.: Min15-20 yrs of exp. in the cement industry, with at least 5 years in a senior mgmt role.
