Job Description:

 

Plant availability: Supervise & coordinate all the mechanical activities of Pyro & Raw Mill to maximize the plant availability to achieve continuous dispatch as per targets.  

Take plant rounds /study check list daily and identify problems.

- Implementation of Monthly shutdowns, PM Schedule and regular maintenance activities.

- Supervise execution of maintenance activities.

- Breakdowns Analysis, Carryout Why-Why analysis.

- Implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Organize manpower & material required.

- Prepare indent & follow up for material.

- Coordinate for condition monitoring activities of critical equipment’s.
 

Cost Control: Monitor & control cost of all the maintenance activities of Pyro & Raw Mill as per budget in order to optimize maintenance costs.

Check consumption pattern with respect to budget. Implementation of corrective actions.

Monitor the indents / inventory Implement changes for cost reduction.
 

System Implementation: Organize & implement the system requirements of ISO, EMS, OHSAS, and WCM systems in Pyro thorough the involvement of employees for improving plant working and quality standard.

- Identify and Implement improvement study and kaizen.

- Identify & get rectified.

-Abnormalities.

-Spillage/leakages.

-Unsafe conditions/practices.

- Why-why analysis.

- Develop Single point lesson.

- Create awareness in team members.

- Develop visual controls.

- Monitor working of pollution control equipment’s  
 

Environment & safety: Monitor & carryout all the activities required to maintain good housekeeping and safety standards of section.

- Monitor working of pollution control equipment’s.

- Identify & arrest spillage/leakage/dust emissions.

- Study problems for corrective actions

- Implement small modifications for improvement.

- Educate Workmen / Contract Workmen for safe working practices.

- Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions.

- Attend abnormalities identified during audits.
 

Modifications/ up gradation: Identify and carryout various modifications/changes required for improvement in plant working on continuous basis in the section.

- Analyse breakdowns and suggestions. - Involve in proposal preparation for elimination of bottleneck.

- Involve & Implement focused improvement jobs.

 

Qualification
 

Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
