Job Description:
1. Environmental Monitoring & Measurement:
Organizing the periodical measurement of stack emissions, ambient air quality, noise level, ground water measurement, water/waste quality measurement, fugitive emission measurement.
Periodical inspection of Pollution Control Devices (Air, Water & Noise) and organizing the corrective/preventive measures for efficiency improvement.
Environmental monthly data submission to GPCB (E-Patrak) through online portal & CPCB.
Environmental sustainability data preparation and monthly MIS data submission at Corporate Sustainability Cell.
Daily observation and statistical interpretation of online emission data (CEMS, CAAQMS & Flow meters) and smoothly data transmission at online portal of CPCB, GPCB & CGWA
Orgazing quarterly calibration of online monitoring system (OCEM & CAAQMS) and data updating through RTDMS at CPCB portal.
Coordination with the official of GPCB/CPCB/MoEF&CC/CGWA during site visit/inspection and facilitating for providing the environmental data.
Coordination with the vendors/consultant for site visit and Environment Audit by GPCB.
Compliance with Environmental Legal Requirements:
Coordination and facilitate with plant, mines & jetty team for smooth operation and pollution free environment.
Compliance with conditions of environmental approvals (EC, Consents, Authorization & NOC) and preparation of report/data for filling returns as per compliance matrix to the statutory agencies.
Compliance with Environment Protection Act/Rules/Regulations and CRZ for the Prevention & Control of Pollution under Air Act, Water Act, Noise Act, Hazardous Waste Management Rules, Solid Waste Management
Rules, Plastic Waste Management Rules and Co-processing of Non-hazardous Waste/Plastic waste w.r.t Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) under Plastic Waste Management Rules.
Preparation and submission of data/records as per the CSI guidelines and co-ordination with plant people for maintaining the updated data/records of air, water, noise, hazardous waste, e-waste, battery waste, bio-
medical waste for the requirement of organization and statutory agencies.
Preparation and submission of compliance reports at regular intervals.
Organizing the renewal of Consents/NOC/Authorization.
Coordination with civil team for greenbelt development at plant, mines & colony.
Coordination with civil & CSR team for rainwater harvesting at plant, mines & colony and increasing the water positivity index.
Environmental Improvement Studies/Sustainability Projects:
Identification and conduct environment improvement studies in the areas viz. air pollution control, (ESPs/DCs/spillages), water pollution control, hazardous/ non-hazardous waste management for continual
improvement.
Increase of plastic positive index through co-processing of munical solid waste.
Construction of artificial recharge structure for ground water recharge/rainwater harvesting.
Environmental framework monitoring through self-assessment questionnaire(SAQ) in the sustainability based platform.
Biodiversity management and monitoring.
Compliance with System Requirement (ISO & KFA):
Compliance with ISO 14001:2015 /IMS system to improve environment conditions in the plant.
Providing the updated data/details from time to time and facilitating while surveillance audit.
Participating in the periodical audit and conduct training programme on EMS and pollution control to the employees & awareness in society.
Identify and execute improvement studies and KAIZEN.
Identification of abnormalities and reporting of spillage/leakages, unsafe conditions/practices.
Walkthrough inspection(WTIs) and 5S activities reporting.
Safety:
Compliance with safety standards and achieving zero harm/fatality.
Implementation of necessary safety standards working with the SOP/HIRA/WI and to review from to time.
WTI & SBO round and reporting near miss/unsafe conditions.
Participation in safety meetings, toolbox talk meeting and implementation of best safety practices.
Essential Qualification :
Master In Environmental Science
