Job Description:

 

Supervise daily logistics activities including inbound and outbound transportation, material handling, and dispatch operations.
 

Ensure proper documentation of dispatches, gate passes, GRNS (Goods Receipt Notes), and weighbridge records.
 

Coordinate with transporters, warehouse teams, and production departments for smooth operations.
 

Monitor vehicle placement, loading/unloading, and turnaround time to optimize efficiency.
 

Ensure compliance with SAP entries, stock reconciliations, and system-based reporting. Track freight costs and assist in controlling transportation expenses.
 

Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory requirements related to logistics and transportation.
 

Handle transport-related issues such as shortages, damages, or delays, and escalate as needed.
 

Maintain daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports related to logistics and share with management.
 

Supervise and guide logistics staff and contract workers for effective performance.
 

Liaise with external stakeholders such as transporters, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
