Key Skill:
Minimum of 20 years of experience in cement manufacturing,with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a grinding unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the grinding unit, including raw material handling, grinding process, and packaging.
Implement efficient production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing downtime.
Lead improvement initiatives in plant and long-term plant development
Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the production process.
Implement quality control measures to identify and address any deviations or non-conformities.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to continuously improve product quality and consistency.
Safety and Compliance:
Champion a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns and promote a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance to policy mandates as applicable
Cost Management:
Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the grinding unit, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements, driving initiatives to reduce operational expenses.
Team Management and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
Identify training needs and facilitate skill development initiatives for the team members.
Ensure that right kind of talent and skills is available for plant on management and shop floor level.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, other departments, and external partners.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment between production and market demand.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production , Chemical, or Industrial Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in cement manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a grinding unit.
Strong technical knowledge of cement grinding processes, equipment, and quality control systems.
Proven track record of achieving production targets, driving process improvements, and managing operational budgets.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Sound understanding of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance requirements in the cement industry.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.

B.Tech/B.E. in Production/Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical
