Roles & Responsibilities

 

1. Operation & Maintenance

 

Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, motors, drives, switchgear, and plant distribution systems.

 

Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

 

Monitor and control power consumption while implementing energy efficiency measures.

 

2. Project Execution

 

Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.

 

Prepare technical documentation, BOQs, and specifications for electrical projects.

 

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants for timely project execution and maintenance support.

 

3. Troubleshooting & Reliability

 

Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical circuits, PLC systems, drives, and automation panels.

 

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

 

Enhance system reliability and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).

 

4. Compliance & Safety

 

Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.

 

Participate in ISO, OHSAS, and Energy audits, maintaining necessary documentation.

 

Promote and enforce safe working practices across all electrical operations.

 

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

 

Coordinate with production, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for smooth plant operation.

 

Provide technical support during shutdowns, annual overhauls, and expansion projects.

 

Train and mentor technicians and junior engineers on maintenance and safety procedures.

 

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. – Electrical / Instrumenttaion Engineering
