Job Description:

Oversee the planning, design and construction phases of civil engineering projects to ensure they meet technical specifications and project objectives.

Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and contractors to secure project approvals and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, financial forecasting and funding allocation to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.

Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to project timelines, budgets and quality.

Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and construction teams, to ensure clear understanding of project specifications and progress.

Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to procure materials and services required for project completion with cost controls.

Monitor construction processes to ensure adherence to project plans, safety standards and environmental regulations.

Conduct post-project evaluation to assess project outcomes, identify lessons learned and make recommendations for future projects.

Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations

Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met

Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies

Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities

Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed

Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Preferred candidate profile :-

M.Tech / B.Tech / BE - Civil with 20+ years

Quality Experience in Large Civil Projects preferably in Cement or Similar Industry.

Proven experience as construction project manager

In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles

Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD & other related software

Familiarity with construction/ project management software

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

A team player with leadership abilities

B.Tech/B.E. in Civil/M.Tech in Civil
