Job Description

 

Ensure all the raw materials, consumables and other supplies are made available timely for Manufacturing operations.

Ensure timely procurement of spares and other parts for the smooth functioning of the plants.

Analyze market condition, price volatility and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and create procurement plans

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals

Develop alternate suppliers based on suitable evaluation for procurement of materials in collaboration with respective stakeholders.

Review performance of suppliers and Initiate corrective action plan for suppliers and monitor progress.

Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities and pricing fluctuations.

Managing supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution and fostering long-term partnerships.

Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements.

Monitoring inventory levels, analyzing demand patterns and implementing inventory management strategies to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses.

Plan and monitor implementation of alternate sourcing for critical components

 

Preferred candidate profile

 

Proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing setup involving multiple stakeholders

Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, including forecasting, ordering, receiving, storing, issuing materials.

Candidates with MBA qualification shall be preferred.

Minimum 15--20 years experience out of which 10 years should be in team management role.
