Key Responsibilities :
Maintenance Management:
Oversee and manage the maintenance of all mechanical equipment, including crushers, raw mills, kilns, coolers, and packing machines.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Monitor the condition of machinery and equipment through regular inspections and predictive maintenance techniques.
Coordinate with the production department to schedule maintenance activities without affecting production targets.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
Project Management:
Plan and execute mechanical projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other departments to ensure successful project execution.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
Implement and enforce safe working practices and procedures within the mechanical maintenance team.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency, reliability, and performance of mechanical equipment.
Implement best practices, innovative technologies, and process improvements to optimize mechanical operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, downtime, and cost savings to senior management.
Ensure proper documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance manuals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a cement plant or heavy industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of cement plant machinery and equipment, including crushers, kilns, mills, and packing machines.
Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and projects.
Education
Diploma in Mechanical, B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical
