Job Required:

 

You will be responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of the cement plant, including the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems. The role involves ensuring efficient operation, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The candidate will also play a critical role in new project execution and ongoing plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Phase: Design & Engineering:
 

Lead the electrical design and engineering for new cement plant projects.
 

Collaborate with design consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure optimal electrical system design.
 

Review and approve electrical design documents, drawings, and specifications.
 

Project Execution:
 

Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
 

Manage electrical contractors and ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget.
 

Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and international standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
 

Vendor Management:
 

Evaluate and select vendors for electrical equipment and services.
 

Manage contracts, negotiations, and procurement of electrical materials.
 

Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and installation.
 

Testing & Commissioning:
 

Develop and implement testing protocols for electrical systems.
 

Ensure all electrical systems are properly tested and commissioned before plant startup.
 

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during commissioning.
 

Operational Phase: Plant Operations:
 

Oversee the operation and maintenance of all electrical systems in the cement plant.
 

Ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of electrical systems, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
 

Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
 

Safety & Compliance:
 

Ensure all electrical operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
 

Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments for electrical systems.
 

Lead efforts to improve electrical safety and reduce risks associated with electrical operations.
 

Team Management:
 

Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
 

Develop training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the team.
 

Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the electrical team and with other departments.
 

Continuous Improvement:
 

Identify opportunities for improving electrical system efficiency, reliability, and performance.
 

Implement energy-saving initiatives and technologies to reduce operational costs.
 

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in electrical engineering.
 

Key Requirements:

 

Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
 

Experience:
 

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a cement plant or similar heavy industry.
 

Proven experience in managing electrical systems during both project execution and operational phases.
 

Technical Skills:
 

Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
 

Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems, motors, drives, and automation systems.
 

Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
 

Leadership Skills:
 

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
 

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
 

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

 

Education
 

Diploma in Electrical, B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical
