Responsibilities:
To lead efficient, reliable, and safe mechanical maintenance and operation of the Pyro-processing section (Kiln, Coal Mill, Preheater, Cooler & associated auxiliaries), ensuring high equipment reliability, optimized performance, and zero breakdowns
Responsible for minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment availability, life, and performance in alignment with plant production targets, through effective maintenance scheduling and resource planning
Plan, organize, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance of Pyro-processing section through effective usage of SAP PM and TPM methodologies
Coordinate with E&I and Process team for shutdown planning & execution with detailed activity sequencing for minimal downtime and quick ramp-up.
Continuously monitor equipment health indicators (vibration, temperature, alignment etc.) through reliability tools and diagnostic reports in coordination with Technical Cell
Ensure proper alignment, balancing, and refractory management for rotary equipment to maximize lifecycle and reduce maintenance cost.
Take lead in root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures, breakdowns etc and ensure timely implementation of necessary corrective measures.
Ensure adherence to quality and engineering standards in the maintenance execution, while strictly conforming to established safety, health and environmental norms at work sites at all times
Support the HoD in regular review of mechanical performance reports, analysis of variances, and take initiatives for timely corrective actions wherever necessary
Ensure availability of critical spares, consumables, and tools for uninterrupted operation.
Lead, train, and motivate the team of Maintenance Engineers and departmental staff / workforce for building technical and behavioral competencies, SOP understanding, and ownership of performance parameters.
Qualification:
Diploma / Graduate – Mechanical Engineering
