Job description

 

1. Mechanical Maintenance:
 

Supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of major plant equipment (kiln, cooler, crusher, VRM, ball mill, conveyors, etc.).
 

Ensure reliability and availability of all mechanical systems.
 

Review maintenance reports, analyze recurring issues, and implement corrective actions.
 

 

2. Project Planning & Execution:
 

Lead plant modification, upgradation, and equipment installation projects.
 

Prepare mechanical project plans including scope, budget, timelines, and resources.
 

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
 

 

3. Equipment Health Monitoring:
 

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for failures and implement corrective/preventive measures.
 

Monitor vibration, temperature, and wear trends using condition monitoring tools.
 

Ensure implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices.
 

 

4. Team Leadership & Coordination:
 

Guide and mentor junior engineers, supervisors, and fitters.
 

Plan and manage daily tasks and job distribution.
 

Conduct training programs on maintenance best practices and safety.
 

 

5. Safety & Compliance:
 

Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory regulations.
 

Lead mechanical safety audits and participate in risk assessments.
 

Maintain documentation as per ISO, EMS, and safety standards.
 

 

6. Inventory & Cost Control:
 

Monitor and control consumption of spares and maintenance materials.
 

Review spare parts inventory and raise material requisitions.
 

Identify opportunities for cost optimization in maintenance activities.

B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Diploma in Mechanical
