Job Description:
To ensure the consistent production of high-quality cement products that meet or exceed both internal and external quality standards.
This role involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions to maintain product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans and procedures.
Monitor and analyze quality control data to identify trends and potential issues.
Oversee the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality guidelines.
Product Testing:
Supervise the testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and final cement products.
Interpret test results to identify any deviations from specifications.
Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all testing activities.
Quality Improvement:
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes.
Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
Analyze quality data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer requirements.
Ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of quality and performance.
Address customer complaints and concerns related to product quality.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on relevant quality standards and regulations.
Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for regulatory audits.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
M.SC or a related cement sector experience.
5+ years of experience in quality control or assurance in the cement industry.
Strong understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in relevant software, such as LIMS and statistical analysis tools.
Desired Skills:
Experience in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
Leadership and mentoring skills.
