Job Description
 

Responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance and operations of the Pyro-processing section (kiln, preheater, cooler, and associated equipment) to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:

 

1. Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of Pyro equipment.

 

Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of machinery.

 

Team Leadership:

 

2. Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.

 

Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and skill development.

 

Performance Monitoring:

 

3. Monitor equipment performance and address inefficiencies or breakdowns promptly.

 

Implement continuous improvement measures for reliability and availability.

 

Coordination:

 

 

4. Collaborate with production, electrical, and process teams to align maintenance schedules with operational needs.

 

5. Liaise with OEMs and vendors for technical support and spare parts procurement.

 

Safety & Compliance:

 

 

6. Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations.

 

Conduct risk assessments and enforce safe work practices.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
 

 

Experience: 12-15 years in cement or heavy manufacturing industry, with significant exposure to Pyro-processing equipment.
 

 

Skills: Strong knowledge of kiln, preheater, and cooler operations; leadership; problem-solving; SAP or CMMS tools familiarity.
