Rename your resume properly with below details before sending to it.

JOB EXCHANGE TIPS for SUBJECT

Worst Mistakes People Make In Email Subject Lines..???

Missing Subject Line

Not writing any sentence in Subject Line is one of the biggest mistakes.

Writing Too Much in Subject Line.
If you write more than six to eight words and don't put the most important words at the beginning, you could lose the recipient right from the start.

Being Too Vague in Subject Line.
The subject line should communicate exactly what the email is about so that the recipient can prioritize the email's importance without having to open it.

Avoid writing Email Subject Line as below.

  1. Resume
  2. My Resume
  3. Resume (Neha Sharma)
  4. Resume submission.
  5. Resume attached.
  6. Mail without any subject line.
  7. Regarding for Job.
  8. For job requirement.
  9. Application for the suitable post.
  10. Resume for suitable post.
  11. Mechanical Engineer.
  12. Resume for Mechanical Department

Write an email Subject Line that is a bit unique but not too short or too long or complicated.

Putting all words in Capital Letter or Capitalize each word in Subject Line.

This is a mistake I see in email subject lines in general. Don’t capitalize every word. It looks “spammy” to the readers. Capitalize the first word, and possibly the official job title. Using all capital letters may get attention in the wrong way. Use dashes or underscore or colons to separate the thoughts.

Not Including Who Referred You.

To grab the recruiter’s attention, start the subject line with the full name of the person who referred you.

  1. Referred by Neha Sharma for Mechanical Engineer Position.
  2. Mechanical Engineer Application (Referred by Neha Sharma)
  3. Application for Safety Officer- Job ID #242263

Make Sure if employer asking to send application with Specific Subject Line and details as given below.

Send your resume with subject line “DGM-Mechanical” or “Safety Officer-Job ID #242263” with below details.

  1. Current CTC:
  2. Expected CTC:
  3. Years of Experience:

Don't let your email get lost — or worse ignored — when submitting your resume. Contact us for any support.

We published above vacancy and asked candidates to share profiles with mentioning subject line as "CV for Mechanical Engineer- Wagon Tippler" with Experience & CTC details.

We received more than 100 resumes for this applications. Now it was a hefty task to find most suitable candidates among them based on the required condition.

Now, In remaining 35 resumes we searched the Keyword  "Wagon" & "Tippler"

Unfortunately it was found only in 7 resumes.

JOB EXCHANGE TIPS @  SN- 1/10

“Please Find My Resume Attached“.. Writing this phrase in mail is OK or NOT OK...??

Language is changing just as fast as the technology around us. When writing emails and applications to future employers, you want to make sure you are giving them the best impression possible.

Using the phrase "please find my resume attached" to remind readers to look for and review your resume is useful for different types of situations.

Below are such circumstances and in each circumstance, it is important to know why you would choose this phrase and how you should use it properly.

  1. When submitting a cover letter.
  2. When applying for a job by email.
  3. When responding to an invitation to interview.
  4. When requesting an informational interview.

Some More Similar Examples you may apply:

  1. Let me know if you have any questions about my resume attached below
  2. I have attached my resume for your review
  3. My resume is attached for your consideration
  4. My resume is included for your consideration
  5. I have included my resume for your review
  6. You will find my resume attached below
  7. As the attached resume show(s)…
  8. Please refer to my attached resume for more about…
  9. The resume I’ve attached includes more information about…
  10. I have included my resume for your reference
  11. To learn more about my involvment/experience with [something], refer to my attached resume

Your cover letter and resume both play an equally important role in earning you a job offer, so it is crucial that you provide both when inquiring after an opening. But if you attache your resume in mail and only mention please find my atttached resume, and not writing in mail body will casue to rejection.

So, before sending mails it is better to improve your resume and cover letter writing skills.

Writing Career Objective Statement or Resume Objective Statement in CV is Good or Bad..???

We have all seen those generic resume objective statements talk about a professional who is “Looking for opportunities that will allow me to leverage my skills.”

This vague statement is a waste of space on your resume because it doesn't help hiring managers quickly understand what type of position you are seeking and why you are qualified for such a role.

Remove your run-of-the-mill objective statement and replace it with a professional summary also known as a PROFILE SUMMARY or CAREER STATEMENT or CAREER SUMMARY-------that delivers your elevator pitch.

Please write this in approximately 3-5 lines, explain why you are a good fit for the position you are pursuing by summarizing your relevant qualifications and career achievements.

JOB EXCHANGE TIPS for INTERVIEW

Interviewer-> Tell Me About Yourself..???

The interviewer wants to see that you can tell your story from Point A (the beginning) to Point B (the end) without getting sidetracked, distracted, or scattered. You need to be concise. If you take this answer beyond 2 minutes you are shooting yourself in the foot. In fact, below 90 seconds is ideal.

1. Start by discussing your current situation.

Explain your current role and highlight major, relevant achievements and responsibilities.

2. Work backwards by hitting key points along your professional journey.

Summarize previous experience and how they've helped prepare you for the role.

Focus on results you can quantify where possible.

Highlight impressive experience and accomplishments.

Were you promoted ? That’s always a great sign to mention.

3. Connect your background, interests and qualifications back to the job.

Finish by explaining how your experience will make you successful in the role and how the job aligns with your career goals.
