Key Responsibilities

 

Project Planning & Execution
 

Prepare, review, and monitor civil engineering drawings, designs, BOQs, and project specifications
 

Supervise construction of civil structures including silos, foundations, chimneys, conveyors, packing plant structures, and utility buildings
 

Ensure compliance with IS codes, cement industry standards, and company guidelines
 

Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
 

Track project progress against schedules and implement corrective measures to meet timelines

 

Maintenance & Upkeep
 

Inspect and maintain civil assets such as buildings, roads, drains, culverts, storage facilities, and plant structures
 

Identify structural issues (cracks, corrosion, settlement, etc.) and recommend timely repair or retrofit solutions
 

Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance the durability of civil infrastructure

 

Quality & Cost Control
 

Ensure civil works meet design, quality, and safety standards
 

Conduct site inspections, material testing (cement, aggregates, steel, concrete, etc.), and validate contractor workmanship
 

Monitor budgets, minimize material wastage, and drive cost-effective project execution

 

Safety & Compliance
 

Enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines during civil construction and maintenance activities
 

Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures in work zones
 

Ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to environment, labor, and construction laws

 

Cross-functional Coordination
 

Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Process teams to provide civil support during equipment erection, installation, and commissioning
 

Offer civil engineering inputs during plant modifications, capacity expansion, and greenfield/brownfield projects

 

Key Skills & Competencies

 

In-depth knowledge of civil construction standards, IS codes, and cement plant infrastructure
 

Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office
 

Expertise in structural design, foundation engineering, and construction management
 

Strong leadership, contractor management, and problem-solving abilities
 

Sound understanding of safety norms, quality control, and preventive maintenance in the cement industry

 

Qualification :  B.Tech- Civil Engineering
