Key Responsibilities:

 

Plan daily, weekly and monthly blasting schedules as per the mine production plan.
 

Prepare blast designs, patterns, and initiate drilling instructions in coordination with the drilling team.
 

Supervise charging, stemming, and tie-up of blasts in compliance with DGMS guidelines.
 

Ensure safe transportation, storage, handling, and usage of explosives as per statutory norms.
 

Maintain statutory records related to explosives, blasting operations, and misfire management.
 

Coordinate with statutory authorities for permissions, inspections, and compliance requirements.
 

Monitor ground vibrations, fly rock, noise levels and take corrective measures to minimize environmental impacts.
 

Ensure proper fragmentation to facilitate cost-effective loading, hauling and crushing operations.
 

Train and guide blasters, helpers and related team members on safe and efficient blasting practices.
 

Maintain inventory of explosives, accessories, and raise indents as per requirements.
 

Investigate any blasting-related incidents and implement preventive measures.
 

Prepare and submit required reports to internal management and regulatory bodies.
